Subject: Requiem and S8

This is what I've been waiting for all season. En Ami and Requiem were the only great eps this season. The pregnancy may be too soap opera-ish but I'll take it if next season is a continuing myth arc story. Anything to get us away from these lame eps we've had for the last 2 seasons. I wish they had ended the show this year but I see potential.

Dare I hope? Anderson's pregnancy in season 2 lead to the great Duane Barry/Ascension/One Breath storyline that got the myth arc going. CC was basically forced into a creative story. Can he come up with something great once again with his back against the wall?

some observations:

1. CSM, who is not dead, should be seen utilizing his mind power and get the project back together. Why should the aliens give up cause some old geezers got fried? That whole 2 Fathers/1 Son thing was a disaster. The conspiracy was denser than that. Get it back!

2. Get Skinner, the Lone Gunmen, Krycek & Marita, the Bounty Hunter, even Frank Black into the eps. Even solo eps for each. Explore new areas.

3. Is Scully's baby an alien or Mulders? If they have a relationship, why not show it? I think CSM did this in En Ami(not literally!). The baby may have Mulder's DNA but I don't think they did the deed. She asked Skinner to keep it quiet so thats how she'll keep working at first. perhaps S8 is Scully the first half and Mulder the second half.

4. Did Scully say "I love him"? Enough teasing!!! I'm not against the romance but just do it already. They can work together and be lovers. It will add new dimensions. Or have them talk about it and dismiss the idea. The constant teasing and not addresing whats right in their face is ridiculous. ARGH!!!!

I say S8 and a movie and end it. I think they did too much as is but I'm a fan and I'm loyal. I'll stick with it but I'm not so confident after 2 let down seasons. Carter-please, f**k Fox and the biz, do it for the fans.
