...Kande's abode, where he could see a suspicious-looking antennae sticking out in Kande's backyard. Sticking his gun in the back of his pants where he can reach it easily and yet have his hands free, JD tippy-toes to the edge of Kande's house. Virulent cursing can be heard around the corner.

"*#$!! thing!" Kande screeches. "I didn't want you to go over there." JD peeks around the edge and sees Kande attempting to steer a remote-control UFO through the trees.

"The manifesto plainly outlined cursing as against the rules," JD drily informs Kande as he leans against the siding. Too late, he realizes Kande has recently painted the klub a lime-green manifesto color that hasn't yet dried.

Kande gives another half-hearted curse, drops the remote control, and grinds it into the ground. "I was trying out this new secret weapon Stardoe designed but it doesn't work very well."

"Let me try," JD calmly picks up the remote control, dusts it off, and expertly guides the UFO to a teeny landing spot hidden beneath the lilac bushes.

"Show-off," Kande mumbles beneath her breath as she takes some cheer in the fact that JD has a puke-green stripe against the side of his Docker khakis. "Why aren't you wearing the new official clothes of Bubba-ville?" Kande smooths down the front of her green bike shorts. She looks like a giant avocado in her green bike shorts, shirt, sunglasses, hat, socks, and bike spikes.

JD eyes her up and down. "I'd think it would be obvious," he says in disbelief. Kande blushes and decides to change the subject.

"Where's Sis?" she asks.

"She's busy forming an underground rebel Shippervillian unit to find out where the IG's are keeping the Mayor," JD whispers, looking around carefully to make sure no aliens or IG's are in the vicinity.
