Its very difficult being a Professional musician, the very physical act of playing an instrument and or singing requires a lot of discipline, writing songs is also not easy. Most of the musicians I have known messed around with drugs, myself included, but once I decided to give them up, I became a better musician, although its very hard to find people to play with, as every player has their own expectations, age is also a problem. One Day Youre 16 and playing "Gimme Shelter" and the next thing you know youre a senior citizen, you take each day as it comes, and refuse to repeat certain mistakes, practically every musician I know likes to drink and smoke pot,and fool around with all sorts of substances, otherwise the Rock and Roll would become painful. As far as Brian is concerned, Im just a fan who liked the way he sounded and dressed and wore his hair, but this was all after he died.I have sympathy for his children and women I identify with his pain as certain women identify with Marilyn Monroe and Janis Joplin..so happy New Year and I wish you Love and a peaceful year. God Bless, B-
