George:

The last time this board was so quiet it was Yours Truly who noticed the lack of activity. I was expecting more on the anniversary of Brian's death, but only a few of us posted then.

I think it has to do with the fact the Sussex police failed to look into this particular cold case after they'd sworn they would...if it was properly investigated. The disappointment was so acute and devistating when they handed Trevor Hobley back his package of 600 pages of evidence...unopened (!!!)...that everyone who'd worked so hard for so long just couldn't keep up the interest in this now long dead rock star.

Not only that, but the crackdown on Brian Jones videos on Youtube by ABKCO, plus the closing down of his My Space website had an effect. Even that Photobucket site with so many pictures of him on it seems to have been closed down. Most of all, the expiration of Gerry's LARS web page (the most popular BJ site in cyberspace), has trounced all the interest both old fans and newcommers have in Brian. What you can't find, can't interest you.

Worst of all, the renewed shutdown of all things Brian by the present day Rolling Stones...to the tune of even having him cropped or cloned out of any pictures taken back then...is preventing more and more young people from knowing the real origen of this "Greatest Band in The World".

The genuine reason for re-inventing the history of this band still eludes me. There's no understandable reason on God's Green Earth to erase this man from history if there was nothing "suspicious" about his death, so why is it being done? Other "forgotten" people are merely the victims of absent-mindedness...not Brian.

Not only is his very death being swept under the rug like a CIA hit, but everything he did for his band is being credited to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. No small wonder the few fans he has left rarely "love" these two like they once did. Heck, even I used to love them! Not anymore. I have Brian's picture hung in my library, so he'll never be forgotten in America as long as I live. 'Nuff said.
