Subject: All my songs are "Stones" songs..I give them credit for years of inspiration.
In reply to: Linda 's message, "Re: Here's the other new Stones song" on 05:37:54 11/10/12 Sat

Ever since I first began to play guitar at 16 and a friend taught me "Gimme Shelter", Midnight Rambler",and "off The Hook"I have been learning about the stones..I read everything I could about them for all these years,Have had my share of mixed emotions about them just as I would have for anyone in my life I loved..I think its OK what theyre doing as I am 59 myself, and love lots of artists besides the Rolling Stones, but every time they make a new record I find myself having good luck musically, They gave me a lot of Courage when I was a teenager to do as I pleased, and play music, and In spite of my own problems, I carry on, just as they have in their times of ups and downs, and while I'm really nobody compared to them, they remain a source of pleasure and Inspiration..They are the best tribute to Brian Jones they possibly could be,and Im really still grateful to Roxanne that I was able to put flowers on Brians grave for his birthday, something I have never done for anybody except Brian. I agree this is not their best song, and would have appreciated a new album much more than GRRR, but I imagine its just Universal Strategic Marketing thats calling the shots now,and at 69, Mick and Keith have earned their ease and reputation, and I just wish them all the best,as I have been at some of their best concerts in 1972 and 1978 as well as some not-so-hot ones,Most likely, there will be a new live album coming next..its also great that "Charlie is My Darling" is finally in release, the little bits ive seen of it show Brian and the rest of them at their best and young, which it is hard to see them as now.So keep rocking and its always great to talk here. Much love. Peace, bernie
