No they aren't. Not at all and you know it. I know of two other BJ boards you have posted on in the past and somehow you can make your point without this element. Until recently you've posted here for many years without this element that will now seemingly render your posts less-meaningful, do I have that right?

No, not everyone understands the IP thing. Not everyone is computer literate like the majority of us and has no clue what those numbers mean.
To cite an example, several years ago, when Paul Spendel was fraudulently impersonating Gerry, Trevor and many others, we went to great extent to explain what was happening with the IP addresses. Mr. Spendel, knowing nothing about internet protocol, simply and nonsensically explained that (and I'll paraphrase here) "people were using software to make it look like these posts and e-mails were coming from me". As impossible as his claim was, people bought it. The mods at the Censored board bought it and let Mr. Spendel use their board as a bully pulpit against Gerry repeatedly.

I digress, but no Maz, not everyone understands IP addys.

And what do we do when someone does a Paul Spendel and impersonates someone else? Lets hope that this doesn't happen.

Point taken, but there are also posters that are mature and have a sense of fun that feel it is ridiculous, and getting long in the tooth. I can tell you that all three of us mods are on the "it's getting stale" side.

Please explain how all your wacky handles bring dignity and credibility to this board? No one has to click on anyone's post to read and can simply ignore a poster, but all your crazy stuff is right there on the front page and cannot be ignored. This is what people see when they come here, don't you wonder what people coming here think when they see your schtick for the first time? Your wonky little handles may be funny at the time you post, but over time, when one views the board, it looks like a bad tattoo that you can't remove. That is my personal take as I scroll down and it is kind of embarrassing and reflects on all of us here. It looks like spam.

And hopefully we won't ever have to. Look man, we don't have many rules around here. It is still Gerry's board. Pam, Delilah and myself are just looking over it in her absence and we are all in agreement that if she was still around, she'd have said "enough", which is why Pam posted. Is a little continuity and respectability on the appearance of this board too much to ask for bro? We'd rather not have to moderate, just approve posts.
