Pam and George: thanks for your kind words!

Linda: the lyrics I quoted from an early "Beware Of Darkness"-version were not used on the original "All Things Must Pass"-LP in 1970 (this would have been quite a sensation at the time, I guess), but were released on a bonus track on the 30th anniversary edition in 2000. George said himself in the liner notes he wasn't aware this version was recorded when he played it just to present the song to producer Phil Spector.

Delilah: I don't feel a stranger here, though I liked the clear structure of the old - and once new - LARS better. (I know how much Gerry loved the wallpaper. But I find it hard to read on this background and I miss the index.) My feeling is threads drift away easier from the original topic here with some posters writing more on the occasion of a topic than being directly on the spot. Someone mentions the word "alcohol" and the next thing happening is a discussion on alcohol. Sam Cutler, Brian's mother and the many other people who witnessed the eerie atmosphere surrounding the Stones in the run up to Brian's death and immediatly after are completely forgotten. (And this eerie atmosphere had nothing to do with Brian's drinking habits - what a silly turn.)

It's not about making public statements. (Where have you that from?) It's about finding out what happened to their son. The process I described is: in case the authorities do not enough to find out what happened, many relatives go public to heighten the pressure. If you ever noticed how relatives of the victims of plane crashs or crimes of all kinds behave, you know how important it is for them to know what EXACTLY had happened. The (quite wide-spread) believe they don't want to deal with the cruelty is wrong and is not getting right by your ideas of what you think you know about the Joneses.

"To them, it was nobodys business, nevermind he was a celebrity."

It was not nobody's business, it was THEIR business. As the quote presented by Deb proves Brian's father tried to help the investigation and tried to clear his son's name. So far Lewis displayed the typical behaviour of a caring father. But why did he stop when he didn't achieve what he wanted? That's where the statement of Brian's mother delivers a possible explanation. I supported this by quoting people close to Brian who expressed the same feeling about Brian's death, showing the alleged statement by Brian's mother can easily be put in an existing context and doesn't come out of nowhere.

No matter what I read, I will never believe Brians death was due to anything other than unfortunate natural causes. Very few knew the full extent of his health conditions. To me, the rest is hysteria."

It's up to you whether you are interested in the events of 2 July 1969 or not. You don't have to care for the statements of witnesses, the coroner's report, the financial/contractual situation of the Stones/Brian Jones, what kind of characters important people around the Stones were, the many incidents surrounding Brian's death (Keylock burning Brian's possessions, the attack on minicab driver Joan Fitzsimons, etc.). But if you believe your sheer lack of interest in all of these things puts you automatically on the opposite side of hysteria, that's a bit funny.
Actually, I think it's pretty hysterical if you seriously think you can explain such a complicated matter like Brian's death by creating your very own speculation it was the warm water (did you check the temperature?) and the alcohol. If you want to get to the bottom of what happened to Brian I guess you need more brain activity than when you tested your theory heavy-headedly in that hot water in Florida.
