Ive never said Brian couldnt be aggravating. Just that around ordinary people it wasnt as evident. Take the situation with The Lads. They lived together, practically on top of one another in squalor in a very small flat. Ive never been inside Edith Grove, but have seen a lot of London flats just like it, and even as much of a squat as that one was. Funny that its now a high rent area, but then so is all of London now. But the boys got on each others nerves, werent very nice to each other, and trust me, it wasnt all Brian. Hes just the only dead one unable to speak his piece. Very easy for The Lads now, isnt it? Its my feeling that Brian did have problems with certain aspects of being famous, but when he wasnt surrounded by it and could just sit in a pub garden with a pint, he was fine. Well, there was always a glass of whiskey to go along with the pint, but you see what I mean. He could be normal, very normal, like any 20something guy was in England back then.
When I say Im used to being around famous people, I mean when theyre being normal people. Ive never been around them when they are out in the public eye. Thats entirely my choice. I couldnt handle that.
