Do you think you'd be able to find that article again Linda? I'd be interested in reading it.

I very strongly doubt that "Start Me Up" had anything to do with Brian. I find it strange to see Brian's name associated with this song. Obviously the song was recorded long after his death (Jan.-March, then June-Oct. 1978). I personally find the song totally overrated. Not bad, but not great either.

It's claim to fame comes from the fact that it was used in Microsoft ads back when Windows 95 was launched.

But according to Keno, the Stones' last #1 hit goes back even further. Check it out for yourself:

A pretty long dry spell, no doubt, but there have been some really good songs during that time. They just weren't hits, or big enough hits. I don't think the band members are hurting financially though...

"Grrr" does have a new piece or two, doesn't it?

Yes it does.

Doom and Gloom (which I think is the better of the two; I actually really like this one!)

One More Shot (I sure hope they didn't break the bank making this expensive-looking video... LOL!)

The deluxe Grrr! also has the 5 IBC demo songs which the Stones recorded in 1963 before they had a recording contract. These are the tapes that Brian was sent to recover when the band signed with Decca a few months later. They are truly excellent songs, I might add.
