Frank Thorogood's daughter's name is Jan Bell. She recently was mentioned in Scott Jones article in the Daily Mail last summer posted here by George.

Scott Jones reported that Jan went to Sussex police to report the Frank had told her that Keith pulled a knife on Brian on the night that Keith, Mick, and Charlie visited Cotchford Farm in regard to Brian leaving the band. Strangely enough, her story may just be corroborated by Bill Wyman's book, 'Stone Alone'.

I have paperback version, from page 522

...."Mick and Keith told Brian that the group could not go on working with him the way he was; there was a violent disagreement over the music. Brian agreed. That night, the split was officially announced by both Brian and Mick."

If I had a nickel for every time Keith pulled a knife on someone...Whether the knife incident ever happened or to what degree it escalated, we'll never know. We do know that it happened in June of 1969, almost a month before Brian's death. It seems like Jan was trying to establish a motive implicating Keith but even if true, what does this allegation really accomplish? I'm really not quite sure what the logic is here in going to the police in regards to this incident.

One thing that this all does not do, is clear Frank's name or make him look less guilty. Keith wasn't at Cotchford Farm on July 2. The fact remains, Frank was there when Brian died and in the center of the mix it would seem. It looks like Jan Bell has some story she wants to tell.
What Jan Bell should be telling us is what her father told her about his role in the events on the night of July 2 as opposed to an incident from a month previous.
