The Trynka book is the best biography so far IMO. His description of Brian's formative years is especially interesting because it helps us understand the man he would become.

Bill Wyman's "Stone Alone" and Stanley Booth's "The True Adventures of the Rolling Stones" also have a lot of interesting Brian content.

Two interesting portraits of the pre-fame Brian: First, James Phelge's "Nankering with the Rolling Stones" will have you laughing out loud at the sometimes pretty childish pranks that were being pulled inside the notorious Chelsea flat. The other is Graham Ride's "Foundation Stone". Graham shared a flat with Brian during his last year in Cheltenham.

Avoid at all costs: Anna Wohlin's "The Murder of Brian Jones" and Nicholas Fitzgerald's book: two fictional accounts being passed off as factual. Blech!
