I admit to being a little harsh about Julian but an adult needs to live on their own and be responsible for themselves. From what I’ve read, Julian either lives with his parents or on their property. Isn’t it part of a parents job to ensure the child is self sufficient and goes off on their own to carve out their own life? I’ve known people who were so coddled growing up they don’t know how to cook or do their own laundry. I consider this a parent fail.

I consider a “real” job one where you make enough money to support yourself. I don’t care if it’s singing in cafes or driving a forklift in a warehouse – just be responsible for doing something to pay your own bills.
