That's sad news. My thoughts are with his family. His young teenage son was a drummer and once played at one of the Brian Jones anniversary things with his father. They were real close. Do you have funeral details?

I believe Pat lived in East Anglia England? I dont' think he was related to Pete Townshend of Who fame! He was at one time a very good friend of Chris Jagger. I can remember him telling me he sat in and jammed a song on a Stones session.

Somewhere on the net there is a profile of Pat's life. I only met him a couple of times, but remember him as being an interesting guy with great enthusiasm and energy. I think it would be pretty safe to say that he gave life his best shot. He certainly can be given a lot of credit for the Brian things he did.

RIP Pat Townsend.
