Cool. My brother, I think, is a fabulous photographer and it really takes a certain creativity and an inherent appreciation for beauty to see it first with your eyes, ascertain the possibilities of a beautiful image(as well a correct timing and light) and then capture it as a digital (or film) image. I looooove his photos.

There was a gentleman who used to be my client for a few years, gosh, back in 97/98. He really, really had an eye for it. Every day he would come in and you could tell he really hated working at this very huge German company (and his boss was a client of mine as well and she was a proper battleaxe, so I could see why). He would flat out tell me every time he came in as well.

I encouraged the bloody hell out of him to go off on his own and be a photographer as he had such talents. Why live a miserable life? Do what you love and make the world a better, happier place with your natural, God-given talents.

I bought a lot of his work and hung it all up in the office and my home as the guy was truly talented. There was just sort of a true, raw spirituality oozing from the originals I had (unfortunately they were ruined in a flood when I had them in storage). He did quit the secure 20 year job at the German company very shortly after and dove head first into art. VERY ballsy move which I thought it was a rare individual who could do that for his own sanity, so good on ya mate!

He started off very iffy and I went to a lot of his art shows just to support him. But eventually he got his own gallery, married a wonderful lady and has a lovely little daughter. I saw him a few years ago and gone was the insitutionalised, controlled, unhappy man and here in front of me was the true man he was meant to be. He was so damned happy he could have farted rainbows and shit unicorns, for God's sake. He's doing really well and has created a real solid income doing what he loves. He told me that it was my boot which provided the final kick in the arse that knocked him right into that freefall of faith. Obviously, not what he said but what I said, it was his talent, business prowess and, most of all, dogged perseverence that was his parachute in that specific free-fall, landing him eventually, after being blown around quite a bit, into his own happiness and what he was supposed to be doing. So that made me feel good being told I was some sort of a (small, as it was really his gig) catalyst which made made such positive change in someone's life. I got to feel like Queen Sh!t for a day.

Anyway, what the hell was my point? Don't ever give me a keyboard and nothing to do. The point is that I really like photography and appreciate those who have the ability to see beauty in all its forms and capture those unique, brief moments of it. The world is full of strange and wonderful things. It's a fantastic place. And the love of creating music is one of my greatest and most powerful loves of all. I still wish I could sing.

So yeah. Anyway. Nice pics!
