The dark haired woman was seen almsot every time we saw the Others. Rousseau had mentioned that her daughter was taken X ammount of years ago so she should be 18-20. But the clicher was the episode in which Claire remembers her time being held by Ethan in yet another hatch. Daniele got Claire out of there & Roussaeu confirmed that she was her daughter.

I think perhaps the Others don't know about Hurley's numbers connection. That's a Dharma thing, not theirs. They know names & secrets because they had a mole (Ethan) & perhaps watched them from the Pearl or from the jungle. Locke said Sawyer's real name several times, refusing to call him other than his real name.

Walt was thought of as bad by his stepfather who was glad to be rid of him. The Others might recognize his abilities but can't use them or find them too dangerous. Or they were so desperate to get Henry back that they let go of Walt inspite of his importance (notice that Henry said he was upset about the arrangement but they keep their word). I think Walt is a problem with the actor aging way more than 65 days in 2 years. Perhaps some weird aging thing can happen & he comes back an adult.
