Subject: six-aside Author: Daddy was an alchoholic [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 08:51:53 07/11/04 Sun A fairly poor display at this year Carl fielder shaw six a side tourament; 1 win and 4 defeats meant an early dart to the pub, an impressive £1.43 a pint certainly eased the pain of defeat. Hightlights would be, well ermmm.....£1.43 a pint really! The judge lasted about 10% of the first half of the first game (5 mins each way!) thanks for at least trying mate. The Glassman kept up his regular appointment with physio, though he did manage to struggle on manfully. Top scorer was v v s Laxman, on the back of the rather unusual sight of frodo and oochie marshalling the defence, and the fact that we were playing the team from specsavers!Their keeper was to the goal keeping what Baldy is to combs. Not a good day for Messr's Howell snr and jnr, who both managed to spark themselves out on a car boot and cross bar respectively....some would say that howell jnr took the pain better, open to debate of course. Spot of the day is a toss up between Tim Healy (dennis from auf wiedersain pet)and Mat Pritchard from Dirty sanchez, both eaqually as good. Ditchfield an Alman were discovered asleep before 8pm at their respected homes, no doubt exhausted from their exceptional work rates on the pitch!!
