 A good game last night and an even better result, 3-2. Overall it was very enjoyable with stand out performances for me from Steve Painter, Steve Mann and Dave "Ronaldo", scoring on his debut. Also a screamer from Marc Edwards, followed up by a howler of a miss. The guy's like Diego Forlan, believe me. Up front Edwards and Ronaldo just killed them for pace and we could easily have scored more if the finishing had been better.

Aside from that a good all round, committed performance from the lads. Even though we went one down the spirit was there to fight back. I think those who weren't able to be there should struggle to break into Ditchfield's starting eleven come the opening day of the season. There was even a cameo appearance from a certain Paul Brazier, letting the rest know he ain't dead and buried just yet.

Also of note was the appearance for the oppostion of a few ISA old boys. Greenie, Sarnie, Morgans, Bagby, Hollinger, Tiz all were there and it was good to see them.

All in all a good occasion.
