Despite the fact that we lost 3-0 last night I think that we can take a lot of positives from the game, not least our overall performance, individual performances and the committment that was shown. At the end of the day we were playing a team who undoubtedly have players who play on a Saturday [perhaps not Bazza], and also have played a few games already this season. Given that fact 3-0 was certainly not a terrible result.

To me it was similar to the Saltney Ferry game last season where we were under pressure for the majority of the game, yet were always in with a chance. Only when they scored the third in the dying minutes that it was over. At 2-0 I fluffed a great chance, which could have made a real game of it. Shame.

Other than that, there were stand out performances from debutant keeper Dave Ellis [showing the Cabriolet how it should be done] and Steve Painter at the back. Also Ditchfiled played a blinder [just edging my bets - keeping the boss sweet] against one of the best centre mid players I've seen at our level. In my opinion all we need is to challenge better for the headers etc. in centre midfield from goal kicks etc. Easier said than done I know, but perhaps this will take a bit of pressure of the back four.

All in all though if we play like that in every game this season we'll win/draw more than we'll lose. Roll on the Bache.
