Great result last night from all of the lads and another performance to be proud of. The Black Dog were a solid side who played some good football at times, yet we were still able to grind out a hard fought win.

Personally I was most impressed with the defensive work of Mark Howell and "Big" Steve [don't know his surnname], ably aided by the Earl and Coleman, both of whom played brilliantly, after a shaky start following Painter's departure. As was displayed, the key to winning isn't always to be the greatest defender in the world, but if you want it like they did last night and are prepared to do whatever it takes you'll get the tackle/block in. Aside from that the midfield was fantastic and there was some good running up front. And of course Dave Ellis continued his good start with a comfortable display in goal. I suppose it's difficult to single out players after such a good all-rounnd performance.

One more thing, the boy Howell is no doubt making his play for top goalscorer of the season with another goal to take his tally to four in three games. With Dave "Ronaldo" due to return on Sunday it just raises the question, "what now for Ditchfield?"

Decisions, decisions.
