You gotta make me TRY!

I'm a bit of a fan of his, the one lucky thing is that you picked one of the albums I've got!

Some of my fave lines are "I'm just trying to get to heaven before they close the door" and "Once upon a time you dressed so fine, threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?". Pure. Fcuking. Genius.

The song below was Spirit of '76 by The Alarm. Great lyrics, poignant. Billy Bragg BTW is the best living British poet/lyricist ('Music is todays poetry of the masses' - BB). He wrote such wonderful lines as "I never made the first team, I just made the first team laugh. She'd never come to the phone, she was always in the bath" (The Saturday Boy) and
"Some photographs of a summer's day
A little boy's lifetime away
Is all I've left of everything we've done
Like a pale moon in a sunny sky
Death gazes down as I pass by
To remind me that I'm but my father's son" (Tank Park Salute)

This weeks teaser is easy,
"Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans..."
Who and what song.
