I’ve been to their feis years ago. It’s not worth it. Stay home and do something else or travel to a different feis. It’s all a big dog and pony show.

I thought it was gonna be some elaborate setup when I heard about it and was new to ID. Went out of curiosity.
It's in a random HS somewhere in suburbia, like the school in the Rush/Subdivisions music video...very 80s lol

Not saying it's a good or bad feis, I don't know enough to comment on the quality and won't say anything bad about The Academy. But the setting was not what I expected!

Academy is claiming this is a new feis, but it's not. They've hosted this at least 3 times in the last 5 years. This is a different date than previously though (had been in January).

We did this feis as a grades dancer and it was HORRIBLE - only 1 grades stage, dances went well into the evening (last dance was after 830p). Definitely not meant for grades. I do believe that there are a number of dancers who don't believe they'll be given a fair shot because of the previous allegations against the school. They have good dancers, no question, but their reputation has been tarnished and has made others gun-shy.

I'm curious to know which schools that are Academy-adjacent that get favors.
