Wow, DoBee! This is amazing stuff!!!!!! What I think is SO great is that when researchers find something, they declare THAT the beginning of something, the oldest, etc etc etc. Then they find another and are like "errrr, we meant THIS one is!" 5.5 million years.. my GOD! Thats really quite awesome. I remember seeing something on the Discovery Channel about a species like humans that lived, but died out- their bone structure was VERY similar, but they became distinct. Then, humans came along after that completely seperate. So maybe this new one IS different from Lucy altogether. Anyways, way interesting stuff! Okay, so why DID we start to walk upright?
