I always find this very hard to completely accept, I know they are scientists and all and probably know so much that I wouldn't be struck dumb by their brilliance but geez they said they could tell by one toe bone that they stood upright! What I think is SO great is that when researchers find something, they declare THAT the beginning of something, the oldest, etc etc etc. Then they find another and are like "errrr, we meant THIS one is!" 5.5 million years.. my GOD! Thats really quite awesome. I remember seeing something on the Discovery Channel about a species like humans that lived, but died out- their bone structure was VERY similar, but they became distinct.
