I haven't been on these boards in a long time. I agree with what you are saying. My daughter has competed in pageants for 8 years now. We have decided to get out of them now. She has always done well, and not because she is a big name ( she's not). But now, no matter where we go all the big names show up and we are lucky to get anything. We have done what everyone has told us to do. We tried on her facial beauty, but then was told to get those clothes, we did. Then was told get the pics, we did. Guess what, still getting beat by the big names. My child will never be a big name. I don't spend enough money like these other people do. Do you think your children are winning on looks alone? New clothes every 6 months, new pics every couple of months. We cannot compete with you people no longer. I have a life and other things to do.
