Parris Burgess is from NC. I believe she takes modeling from Nicki Burton. I have seen her at several pageants she is a very pretty little girl she is very tiny from what I remember. Has great cloths and modeling,The last time I seen her she rocked in sportswear.

That is what I want to know too. C'mon people help us out here. We are coming from NY and yes I know what we are getting into.lol I am just curious who all will be in the 4-10 groups. Not that I think my daughter even has a shot at any of the big titles, just want to know.

She is not on the paperwork. Maybe she won an overall or something. I think she will do great, and so will OL. They will be big winners. Also I think that little blond Taylor? if she goes will do well also. How come no one is talking about this pageant when it usually is the most talked about of all? Is it too soon? It is only a couple of weeks away. When is USC and who is predicted to win there?

AMBG-some winners will be Isabella Palmieri, Charlsey Collins, Olivia Lewis, Madison Lee, Cora Shimke, Jillian Lee, Amberly Hasting, and probably most of CK and AK clients will take at least beauty or overall titles if Bettie and Lisa play that way, otherwise they will get runner up and future queen titles.

Teresa Miller did not get busted this was Charity Hilton Sullivans interpretation of who posted it, And everyone knows what a trouble maker she was at state. She will never be allowed back in several ball rooms from what I have heard from several directors, everyone is on to her.

CS is bad news with a closet full of skeltons getting ready to unveil. CS was problems when she first started pageants years ago with her first child and has continued to be problems in and for pageants with the only child that she has in pageants now and this child does not want to do pageants, due to the fact the way her mother acts and treats her and many other people. These are facts!
CK will have AMBG state next year, this is just another one of Charity's attempts to cause trouble once again for CK.
Charity said she (CK) would not have AMBG state this year and she did.

Oh yes she did last yr. and what the National Directors said was they did not want any more directors next yr. that means new ones, not CK, I happened to have been standing there when it was said and I know who else was standing there and who run and twisted it, do you want me to start naming names because you know who you are. Furthermore in addition to you who run and twisted it, Charity added to it too because she was mad because Lisa and Betty cornered her at Living Dolls Nationals about the 800.00 bad ck. she wrote so she thought she would start up something else.

It was said that so and so would have supreme before the pageant ever started. 3 of the supremes were named by 4 different people to me over a week before the pageant. The winners were known because it was in the bag for them. These are not kids that win every pageant (don't even do nationals that much) and were just assumed to win for that reason, these were friends and clients. CS is upset when her clients and friends don't win and so would CK. Maybe that is what CS needs to do, just have her own pageant and let her friends and clients win. But she would have to do like CK and only do it every other year.

CS has no clients, the few she has are the ones that know no better, but will soon learn fast.
CS is trying her best to be the next H/M person, but have you seen her H/M? It is worse than my dog's groomer.
Who and where she gets her pictures from is pointless, she talks about everyone of them behind their back and about how awful of a job they have done on her child's pictures.
If she were so proud of her pictures from all the butt kissing she has done, then tell me why she approached Bonnie at Regal to have pics done by Donna, knowing good and well she has bashed Donna's pics to no end.
As far as TDS goes, if only Martha knew that she (CS) was behind all of the uproar after last year's TDS pageant, she (CS) was bashing Martha apart and guess what I have the proof to prove it!
Let her go on to TDS, that is the best place for her.
CS has hurt her child by her(CS)actions and behavior towards others and at pageants.
Many directors cringe when they hear that CS is coming to attend their pageant, they know that the probability of problems are at a high stake when she walks in.
Clients at AMBG? She had very few and yes she did show out in the H/M room there, remember the H/M room was full of
parents and kids there because most H/M people that were there all used the same room to get ready in.
CS having a pageant would be like the biggest con artist of the last century trying to convince everyone that con artist do not exist.
CS may have had one little prelim. pageant, but you can lay your last dollar on it that she had her winners picked before the thing ever started.
No more pageants for CS, she gets asked to leave the ballroom from most of the ones she attends!
CS has done nothing but bash CK as well as her
pageant along with many others, the best thing for CS to do is to leave people alone or just remove herself from an industry that she is becoming very hated in.
In time, CS will have become a thing of the past and that time is moving fast on her.
Bad checks, bad attitude, bad temper and bad display of character is what CS is all about,not including lies, bashing anyone and everyone.
It seems that CS has the problem, not everyone that is speaking the truth and their experinces with her.
Let me tell you something, at CK's pageant the one you claim got ripped, did not get ripped!

However, if you look at the past few weekends you will ALSO see that the girls that won AMBG have been winning supremes and grands since too! Not to mention that several of the girls that were posted as should have been the winners at AMBG did NOT win at several recent pageants. Just goes to show that sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. Just because you have won in the past doesn't mean you can't be beat. And it doesn't mean the pageant wasn't fair. And it doesn't mean that the girl's don't deserve the wins they do get. No one has yet been specific as to why the winners were so off at AMBG, have they? Can you say the kids that won were not beautiful? Not modeling well that day? Dropped their jacket or fell off the stage? They may not have been your choice, but they were consistent performers and there is no reason why they should not have won.

You are not just hurting each other with your rude comments. You are hurting all the innocent children and their mom's who were guilty only of giving all they could to help their child be successful and were happy for their child's wins. Sometimes it is the mom's who think if their kid didn't win the top notch position, then they lost, but mostly it is the fault of vendors who would scratch each other's eyes out for the pageant dollar. I for one am sick of these people pitting one mom against another and making them chose up sides between h/m, coaches,designers or photographers because of their petty arguments!

Well the girls you say were said should have won have not done well at other pageants recently well I know some that have. I wish someone would name all the kids that were there so not to single anyone out as a winner or loser and name what they have won before and after this pageant and see who is right. It really sadden me to see the posting on here about CS, I for one coinsider her my friend. She has always been so nice to me and my daughter. She has gone above and beyond what anyone else has ever helped us with as far as pageantry goes, She headed us in the right direction when we needed pics, we have several great THO pics :o) She has been there to do incredible h/m on my little girl as well as help us in anything we needed :o) But the best part is that she is a friend first and foremost , we don't have to be involved with pageants to keep that friendship, alot of times we just talk about the regular every day stuff.So for those of you who can't see that side of her, i am sorry , you're missing out on a wonderful person, for those of you who dont know her, i hope that you get the chance one day:o)

OMG!!!! Why are people still talking about AMBG state??? I don't understand why CS or CK are still being bashed over a pageant that happened a month ago. We were at this pageant and I guess my daughter was a "client" of CS at that pageant. I never once heard her say anything out of the way in the H&M room. I certainly never saw her throw a fit. I did watch most of the competition since my child was competing. I don't exactly agree with all the winners and what they won, but that's okay, I wasn't judging. The winners are who the judges picked on that particular day, so they did deserve their wins, congratulations to you all. My daughter did wonderful at the pageant, she did her best and she was just as proud of herself as I was of her. That alone was enough for us, but she did take a beauty title too and we were very happy with that. Why can't everyone just drop the AMBG state pageant crap, IT'S OVER - and move on to the next one. This bashing has gone on long enough and too many people are being hurt by it...

It is all known that CS is nothing but a trouble maker and that her H/M is lacking in many ways.
It is known that CS is famous for bashing, trashing and causing multitudes of problems for just about anyone and everyone affliated with pageants.
It is known that CS is like an old dog on it's last leg, too far gone.
It is known that CS treats people kindly until they decide that they want to try a different venture in pageants which does not include her, this is called control that she must have.
It is known she has no control, just lies to feed to the ones that have know clue that she is using them and trashing them all at the same time.
With all this in mind, can we please move on to a different subject?
All of this CS saga, which happens to be every bit of the truth is about as sickening as she is!

I was just reading the board this morning and I see - OMG! How did so&so not win grand at AMBG. The other children were not total package enough apparently. They don't do big enough pageants for the writer, I guess. So they MUST not be pretty or model good, right? Then what do I read? OMG! How did the ____ (much of the same group)NOT win DD? Every board I go to these same self proclaimed "national level package kids" are complaining about NOT winning what they deserved because they are always "on" and always "awesome". And boy do they tear those floors up! Well, folks you better get used to it because thanks to these boards, even the newbies know what they need to do to win. So those pretty little faces that used to not have a clue why they didn't win...well they are getting those professional pictures, professional clothes, and modeling tapes and with a naturally beautiful face and a bit of dance talent, THEY are wiping the floor with YOU! As more and more pageants come up that are honest, and the gurus lose their pull, you ARE GOING TO LOSE MORE AND MORE. The heyday is over. What goes around, comes around. Well I am curious who you are talking to and about. Are you saying DD was a good pageant? Not. Yes kids got ripped off there, some were not even at AMBG and I posted many times about that rip off pageant and my kid was not even in it. I will stand my ground just as others seem to be doing, they have a strong opinion and rumors were flying before the infamous CK state pageant. Yes some of the same kids from DD didn't win at LD but they weren't ripped so much there, bigger pageant, bigger competition but they most certainly did get ripped at DD. So exactly who did CS do that didn't look good and that is why she didn't win at AMBG state? I didn't think anyone looked bad. She only had one that didn't win that I know of and you can't mean her.

IP,CC,AP,LKP,AF got ripped off big time, to name a few. Even though LKP and AF did win, they didn't get the titles they deserved so they all got cheated. This pageant was so far OFF and so messed up it wasn't even funny. Almost every group was called out wrong, mistakes made, and the master was so messed up with changes and scores marked out and remarked and numbers written over top of each other so many times that you couldn't even tell what they were. Big fat joke! I am so glad I didn't waste my money on this one. I feel especially sorry for people who traveled a very long way for this circus put on by incompetent clowns.

I certainly hope this does not start a bash on me or my child. The 2 girls being talked about for the novice titles go to the same coach, have the same seamstress and even use the same h&m person. As far as I know there are no ill feelings between the 2. They have competed together before and the outcome was the other way around. BUT, I am not in any way upset that my daughter did not win the novice title at DD. She had an off weekend and as most of you know that does happen, afterall, they are children! She has done much much better before and I'm sure she will do that well again. This weekend just was not her time. She was just not "on". So again, MD winning the novice title did not upset me at all, congrats to you MD, you had a great weekend and did deserve your win. I knew my daughter was not at her best I did still think she had a chance at it because we all know it just depends on what the judges think, but again I KNOW why my daughter didn't get it, and quite frankly so does she. NEITHER me or my daughter were mad about not getting it, she even said herself she'd work on it and be ready for the next one. We had an absolute blast at this pageant. We both enjoyed seeing all of our friends. It was so fun for us both. With that said, I AM very upset about a lot of things that went on at this pageant that have NOTHING to do with my child not winning. Scores WERE changed, placements WERE called out wrong, money WAS pro-rated to some and not others, checks WERE wrote to winners, fallbacks WERE changed, photogenic was supposed to be apart of the score (which is why I thought my child MIGHT still have a chance at the novice, lol) and they were NOT even scored - a point was given to the winner only (and those that know me, know that I do NOT compete in pageants anymore that award points for anything, lol), judges DID talk to contestants and parents before & during the pageant. I'm sure there is more, but I think you get the picture. The one thing that upsets me the most about this pageant is that I truly trusted the director and I was flat out lied to. I was one of the ones asking about the "Fla Trio". I was told by the director that she had not heard from them. When I got to the hotel, I saw them all in the lobby so I knew they were there. I spoke to them as I really like them and think they are wonderful people with truly great kids. I then went and registered and asked who was in the group. I was told everyone BUT Hilary. So I just asked, what about H? Charlotte said, I don't know about her!! I then told her that I had just seen them all in the lobby. Her exact reply to that was WELL I WISH THESE PEOPLE WOULD LET ME KNOW IF THEY ARE COMING!!! Now, why in the world did she lie to me when she knew they were coming because the pictures were in the program book and she had spoken to them on the phone and even offered them money off to get them there? I just don't understand this. We were coming regardless, so why lie about the others coming, it's just the principle of the whole matter? My feelings are just so hurt over being taken, I just can't believe that she would do the things she did. Before I close I just want to add my 2 cents about TPabst "storming" into the ballroom. You better believe she did it and had every right to do just as she did. She received HALF of her money when others were receiving the full amount. She was not mean or rude, she was simply standing up for her child just the same as the rest of us would do, so YOU GO Teresa!!!! Rest assured that those of us that know you at all, know you were completely justified in your actions. HUGE congrats on the whole "Fla Trio" on your wins. I enjoyed talking to you and your whole family!! Congrats also to Andi's special friends Winter, Savannah, Mikayla, Ariel, and anyone else I may be leaving out! We can't wait to see you all at the next one. And to Andi - you know mommy is proud of you for just having the courage to try, it just wasn't your turn, but if you stay as sweet as you are, your turn will come soon, I love you baby!! L. Murray

Hi, What a wonderfully written statement. I wish everyone had such a good attitude in pageants! I have seen posts by you before and I think your attitude is just wonderful and I'm sure it is a good example for your daughter. Thank you so very much for your nice words. I hope to get to meet you one day. I think Andi looked absolutely beautiful this weekend. Her new dress was fabulous, her new SW is getting some more work, lol. But I also know that she was just "off". Even if she is mine, she is such a sweet child and I'm so proud of her. I always tell her that it's more important to be pretty on the inside and she knows she is, and thankfully she was very happy for the girls that did win. She just looked at me and said, well I can't win everytime mom, if I did the other girls wouldn't win, lol. We've been on a long break, so that was the first time she'd been on stage in months, so maybe that did hurt her some. Regardless we had so much fun and that is the most important part. She knows there is always a next time and wasn't upset at all. We'll just work on the things that need to be worked on and be ready for the next one, I sure hope to run into you at one. First, This is Charlotte, and all the checks was given out on 3/16 was all cashed, and they all got their money. If you need proof, then I will be glad to make you copies and send it too you. If you would get out from under that rock your hiding under and go to a real national pageant. CC has lost nothing, I watched and she was awsome on stage. For a 3 year old to go on stage and do beauty with no music I think speaks for its self. Look out this little one has been burning the stage up! I saw her scores only reason she lost pro-am is CK friends scored her low on her sports wear out fit. (not modeling) IMO she should have had perfect 10's, after they seen all those crazy looking out fits before hers.

This post has nothing to do with any other subject or person on this board but I have a issue. Why is it that now it is considered wonderful when Mom's DON'T have a hissy fit when their child does not win Supreme? This should be the norm, not a once in a lifetime event! I think that it is sick when parents make a big scene if their child does not win. What happened to people who were graceful and nice when the cards don't fall in their favor? I have personally tried to drag Mom's out of ballrooms to try to help them avoid making fools of themselves before. (I have that up by the way!) Why can't people just compete, win or not, ask their questions if they have any in a nice way and then leave? Beauty titles are considered by many to be the pits these days. That is very sad. Young girls years ago, were proud to place as a runner up. Now, they watch and learn while their parents make a big deal if they win a Mini Supreme and not the Grand. Thank God that there are still a few good sports out there! Not very many, I do wish there were more.

Hi! This is A.P.'s mom and I just want to thank everyone who had nice things to say about my daughter. It is touching to know that someone feels the way you do and I am glad to know she has fans. We had a great time at the pageant and enjoyed seeing our friends. My daughter did drop her jacket so we didn't expect her to win anything. It was only a state pageant and even though the competition was more like a national, we only went for fun and practice. My daughter's group was tough and I am very happy for the supreme winners. I appreciate that someone thinks my daughter deserved another title, maybe next time. I don't know the grand winner but I am sure she is as sweet as she is beautiful and we wish her well. Ok lets look....Sonjas girls for the most part won beauty. They tore the stage UP! The grands and minis were all students/friends/clients of the director and her dauther. ALL the best dress winners were in clothes made by the director. I have never seen cheating so obvious before. Think about it, the director made all the clothes of the biggest winners, and also big winners and especially the overall proam winners were students who are coached by the directors dauther. CHEATS! Maybe Lori Clark and Donna Butts can get together and have a pageant that all the money winners are their clients only.lol They will have all the best dressed winners, grands, minis and Donna's girls will all have the overall proam wins. I saw on another board someone said they wanted to know how NH beat AP for grand, but what I want to know is how she beat anyone at all. Wait, I know, Mom was friends with at least 2 judges and has clothes by CK and modeling by AK. And she lost last year and cried all over CK. Anyone who was there will tell you that AA,CC,AM,AP,LB got CHEATED! ALL the winners are clients of CK or AK or both. The one judge she knew that was the heavy man low balled EVERYONE! I went around and looked at everyone's scores and he gave some kids that should have been grand winners 7's. I was listening when he talked to several moms and told them all the same thing. He said they needed to glitz it up a little more. He said they needed to slow down in proam and that at nationals they may like them but this was just state and he didn't like it. GET A GRIP! He sounded like a total idiot.

Even if AP dropped her jacket in s/w. She should have still won grand over NH. It was mentioned on another board that clothes, modeling and beauty count and AP should have been so far ahead of NH after beauty that it should not have mattered if she dropped her jacket or not.

Well I think that AP did fabulous even with dropping her jacket and should have at least had the mini supreme, she is gorgeous and she ROCKED! I saw AM's mom being questioned after crowning by several other people on how her daughter did not pull out for anything. I don't know what was said but I'd sure like to know. That child was on all weekend and then took everything in her group. At least the mother and child seemed happy with what they got but what they got was robbed. At least they did not act like another mother there whose daughter won queen - now that was just bad.

I can tell you from experience that when NH does not win her mother gets very upset,I have seen the mom sit in the audience and cry. I have seen her run out of the ball room all upset. So that part about them never getting upset is a FLAT OUT LIE. And NH mom always says NH does awsom she will never admit when she is not on. And you are right her cloths can not compete with national level clothing far from it look what happened at Holiday Angels.
she did not have the cloths or the modeling to compete against them other girls I was there and saw it with my own eyes. I think DH needs to take some of that money they have won and have some cloths made or either stay away from the National pageants and stay in these little podoke pageants that she knows she can win.And one more thing everyone thinks Dh is such a sweet person,well she is just as bad about talking and lieing as the next person. Dh has ruined her name if you are smart you will stay away so your name is not drug through the mud also.

I haven't been in this discussion and don't know anything about the pageant as I wasn't there, but I have to say the dress IS terrible, I mean REALLY terrible. The fact that it is new does not make it good, lol. As far as the sportswear, it is OK, not the best, but OK. I would stick with the sportswear for now but invest in a new dress. Maybe you should look at a different designer. Not because I have anything against CK, but sometimes a change is good. All designers have kids that they click with where they seem to make clothes that are awesome and others that they don't. This isn't anything against anyone, just what I have observed by having clothes made for my child from different designers. Sometimes the clothes really suit her and sometimes they don't.

QUESTION FOR THE PAGEANT MOMMIES -- Anonymous, 00:20:56 04/09/02 Tue

A little girl at Novice Grand National won the grand supreme which paid out $2,000 cash and now is heading to another level pageant. Since she didn't get paid from the Grand National director (but has been promised she'll get her money) do you feel she should move up to the next level or stay where she's at considering what's just happned? I'd love any input.

We have money owed to us from a certain director and when I go to compete my child in a level pageant, I have had all directors tell me that she must compete on the level that she is required to comepete on per their system.
As it was explained to me: You could get the money a day after the pageant you are getting ready to compete her in at a lower level and that would cause an uproar with parents that are competing their kids on the correct levels or the parents could say that they never got the money, when in all reality they got it, but just not when the pageant was held.

The child is listed on the site as winnng the title and the amount of money, so therefore she should have to move up to the right level.
This issue should be between the director and the Mom or the Mom's lawyer.
It should have no questions about where the child should compete, she won it and she has been promised her money and the director has her advertised as winning it, which by law she will get her money.
When she gets it is not anyone's problems except the mothers and the directors, but the child should have to compete on the level that she is supposed to compete on.
If this is the case and mothers can hold their kids back to a lower level due to them not getting the money right then and there, then there will be many mothers holding kids back and also many mothers that will not compete at systems that do not adhere to their rules that they have set forth.
Please inform us mothers of where this child is being debated over, because I along with many others will not support a system that does not support their own rules and guidelines.
I am sorry to hear of this happening to this little girl, but I myself as well as many other mothers have money owed to us and I am sure we will get it!
My child will compete on the correct level or she will not compete at all.
Directors, stick to your rules or else your #'s will fall drastically.

First of all,IMO AP should have won 7-9 beauty,and HS should have had at least beauty or a mini.lkp is good,but had stiff comp.MD the 5-9 novice was great and well deserving,and will be taking more when she gets her smile together.AM is pretty,but needs work on looking confortable on stage.10-up supreme was great,the two grands were AWESOME,you have to give it to them they were confortable and beautiful.New or not KS 5-up was GREAT.AG GREAT as always.The rest was about right on.CC,IP that was upseting,but it is in the eye of the beholder.I think they are beautiful,but had a bad weekend.IMO

YOU GO MS. SONJA!!! We love you! I for one am so glad that you are my daughter's coach. It's so nice to know that you won't stand by and let our kids be talked about and that you truly do care about them. That means so much to the kids and us moms too. My daughter isn't one of the ones mentioned above, but it's good to know that you won't sit by and let them be talked about. Anyway, I feel really bad now, cause I wondered why SS left MM too. It's none of my business, but I was just curious. But I did not bring it to these boards, I just e-mailed a friend who knew them and just asked outright. SS's mom is a super nice person and SS is such a sweet child. Too bad there is not more like her. I think it is great that a coach cares enough about her students to stop the talk before it gets started. The statement that was made does sound like a invitation to a bashing. You go Sonja! I have seen this coach reply once before due to one of her students and it is refreshing to see that she signs her name and doesn't come on here and hide behind a computer. She seems to really care about her girls.

Of course the site is cheap it is a FREE site. That does NOT mean that she is cheap. The site wasn't meant for advertising, it was meant for us, her students to be able to talk with each other and share pictures. Besides, I don't think anyone asked for your opinion anyway. If you don't want to see the message, just don't go to the site. That way we can get to it, LOL@U!!!!

Stupid question time here. Why does using a free website server that is available for anyone to use make one cheap? I'm sorry, but I just don't understand this way of thinking. I mean if this coach was advertising for new students or something then I could see paying for a site. But from the other posts and this coaches own post, she is not trying to get new students from the site so what is the problem with using a free site?

I paid a lot of money for someone to build a website for me, then paid a lot of money each month for hosting. I had no access to the site at all, so I had to depend on her to make changes to the site or update or whatever. Suddenly my web master is no longer available to do anything and I am out all of the money I paid to have them build my site. I have no way to transfer any of the information from that site to another one and have no intention of paying someone else to start over.
I got one of these free sites and built up my own site. It is not as professionally done as my old one, but it serves the purpose and I can access it any time I want to update it or change things.
Many people are not computer savvy and can just get by. These free sites pretty much are self explanatory when it comes to set up so for someone like me it is perfect. Being cheap or free had nothing to do with it.

I think AF should have had the 5 and up and LKP had the 5-9 supreme. I think CS should have had the 10 and up supreme. There were not enough titles to go around at this one because there were nothing but national winners in every group, even the novice kids were top notch national level kids and everyone in the 7-9 rocked and all deserved titles and some of those 2 and 3 year olds were as good as the 5-6 but some got nothing. Lots of fantastic kids got nothing at all in several groups.

AF walked all over LKP and deserved to have a title above her. I think that AF should have had the 4-9 and LKP the mini but the 5 and up was right on because she was awesome. AM should have had novice and HF should have had the group.

I was there and saw all of the competitions and you are right on with those. KS(5up Grand) seems to be new. She did a terrific job and deserved her win. But to be honest I was more impressed with Hilary than LKP. I have seen them both compete before and she just seems to get better.

They model great and have a pretty good total package thing going on, but personally I am not impressed with them when you look at each detail. The pics they have online as far as photogenic ability and beauty are pretty good but not the greatest. I have only seen HF once in real life and only seen LKP once or twice. I have seen them many times on videos.

Give me a break. Like you don't know anyone else that was in the 7-9 besides those 2. Those were ALL long time national competitors. I have been seeing AP and LB compete on national level and in pageant magazines since they were in the 0-3. There was no AM in that group she was in the 5-6 and was gorgeousand HF did not smile good enough in beauty to have beat LKP for the mini. I am so glad my daughter is in the 10 and up now because even though it was tough, IMO those 9 and younger divisions are impossible. Like the judge said on here herself, the competition at this one was WOWWOW! And even though my daughter got beat by her, Cameron was awesome this weekend and deserved her big win!

I rarely come to the boards but I must admit over the past week I have been on here reading allot. :-) For what I am about to write if you have any angry remarks please point them at me not my child...I will sign my name and glady put my email address for all to email me if they so desire.
My daughter whom is 3 competed last weekend at UGN, I could not be there due to my sons surgery and him needing his mommy home with him. A travelng companion took my daughter in my place (I had to defend that action on another board, someone felt I was a horrible mom for allowing my daughter to compete instead of making her stay at home with us.. she loves to go to pageants, I could not make her stay home if she wanted to go...her Babbie took her in my place)
My daughter did an awesome job (so I was told by many) however I took that with a grain of salt because we all feel our child does an awesome job rather they do or not so I was not taking stalk in what I was told by others...I felt her scores would reflect her performance on stage. At crowning my daughter won 2 RU in Photogentic.
Many were disapointed because they felt she had done a much better job than the scores reflected, however with me being home I could not judge how well she done, I looked at it as she had a wonderful time and there are others to win :-)
Master score sheet was not available for viewing but was told to call in a couple of days and it would be. I thought nothing more of this untill I read a post on this board...I saw my daughters name mentioned and a TIE...I was not told there had been a Tie in my daughters age group (3 yrs level 1) however since my daughter was mentioned I wanted to know exactly what scores they were talking about.
A wonderful person whom I shall not name came to me and told me that my daughter had Tied for MINI SUPREME however lost the tie when Facial Beauty scores were tallied..we can accept that, heck felt honored she had done so well but sure would have been nice if the Director would have mentioned this.
Next found out my daughter had also Tied for DIVISION QUEEN...well this was just TO MUCH...she had tied for TWO titles and we had not been told of ONE by the Director??. As we checked scores we could not figure how the tie had been broken.
Director was then called and she seemed surprised there was a tie, after checking her master score sheet there it was a TIE. Asked how the tie was broken, she said Facial Beauty....NOPE tied again! Alright she then said they went to the Head Judge for the tie breaker..NOPE tied again!She admitted she didn't remember how they broke the tie she was going to have to check with her Auditor...well I am sorry...if you are the Director of a Natioanal Pageant you better know when there is a tie and how that paticular tie was broken not have to call the person back after you check to see. JMO of course.
The Director promised to call later in the day to let us know how this tie had been broken....she didn't.....waited all day the following day, called her numerous times to see if she could/would answer our question...no answer. The last time we called we left a message that we were coming to the boards since she could/would not give us any answers....she then returned the call....her answer was this...
They had to use a THIRD tie breaker, they used the Head Judges Facial Beauty scores. Now if this is indeed her rulings at all of her pageants I accept that with no problem however after her not knowing HOW they broke the tie and had over a day to think of HOW they broke it I am left with more than a bad taste over this pageant! Why was my daughter at least not mentioned at the pageant or in person for doing so well since she had tide for both titles? I know most pageants that we have done use the High Point Overall score when breaking ties if facial beauty is also a tie if the Director will not honor both girls as winners. Is this what you gals have seen in the past or am I wrong in the way I am feeling?
PLEASE do not misunderstand...I do not begrudge either of these girls their wins as Queen in both Mini Supreme and Division....I want that to be known right here and now. That is not why I am writing this...I am writing this because I feel rules were made along the way instead of being guidlines right up front as to how these ties are handled....not the answer "I will have to get back to you"!!! We all pay allot of money to do pageants and rules should be put into place as how a Pageant breaks their ties when one arises.
I am going to put a banner on the Bravo board for the recognition my baby girl should have received from this Director but did not. Forgive me if I sound harsh I do not mean to...up until one month ago I have never questioned a Director but after the past two Nationals we have attended and the scoring I have had to. That is sad to me....we do these for fun...not the die hards just a mom and daughter fun thing to do. I am an older mom that waited 25 years for a baby girl, we enjoy spending as much time together doing the fun things that she enjoys doing as we can. She loves pageants, clothes/make up and esp. the friends she has made & her H/M friends..loves them to death and they are always so supportive of her. I want to thank them for that. :-)

I was not going to post and let it be but I cant because it's my daughter they were talking about on the other board and I wont post there ( uncensored prediction board ). I did not do UNG because thats the only pageant my child can win, My child can hold her own and I never expect her to win any where. The big thing is you have to enter pageants to win, We are now just branching out to do Nat and do not want to do a lot. Up until AUE we had stayed with State pageants and last year she did very well At sunburst State out of 35 3-4 girls placed in all events and made top 5 in beauty to me thats winning at the two other states she did she won Beauty in one and there were no slackers in the group, the other she won the High point overal supreme for the whole pageant, then AUE she place in the top five in beauty and placed in Photogenic again to me that winning. So I feel my child has come a long way with a long way to go, I was very proud of her this past weekend she had done the best she has ever done and the best part she was proud of herself too. She was in the top five for the grand which made me happy and had I entered overalls she would have won a higher title she could care less she won a crown. This is a child they chose to bash because some one wants to blame me for this past weekend, But I dont know any of the grand or minis and I didnt refer any one to go to the pageant. I did post on the board about Greta's number but that was it, and her past track record. So if you dont like me thats fine I dont care,there are people I dont care for too. I know who my friends are but please do not belittle a child because you don't like the parent. She worked hard for that crown and I am proud of her, so thats all that matters. And remember you have to enter Pageants to win and I dont care to enter a whole lot of them. The board owner can check ISP's because mine never changes and traces right back to me so thats is why I very rarely post on any boards. So if you want to take your frustrations out on me go for it but leave my child alone.

2-s OL was ADORABLE and on today,CF was also on, either one of these could pull, 3's IP was on in proams and she is stunning. She might pull something, CC was off but might pull beauty if IP pulls out. Only 2 in 4's.. OG and AG. AG looked awesome in all events. 5-6- HF nailed all events, JC looked great in beauty, MD will probably take novice if she qualifies, 5 or 6 in that group. 7-9- LKP and AF will both probably pull out they were AWESOME both girls were on, HS was a great little model and AP looked great in beauty, 10-12- TF stood out, 13-15 Cameron? will probably take this group and possibly 10 and up mini, 16 and up KM or GR looked good but CC will probably win this.

OL was precious and very deserving, but deserved better, she outdid everyone. CC was not her usual self in personality and modeling but was still great and did get ripped off. IP was also cheated because she is awesome and was on. CF was cute and also deserving but I would probably switch these titles around some. AG and OG were great too. LKP should have had the 5 and up because she rocked and is very polished, but if you ask me she didn't have the personality of AF and AP. AF was awesome in pro-am so she was deserving, and AP is beautiful and was great in pro-am so she should have had something. SB was awesome and full of personality and was very pretty and deserving. AW is beautiful and I thought she would do much better. The whole 10 and up just surprised the heck out of me all the way around. I cannot say more about this group without sounding like I am bashing so I just won't say anything else.

Of course LKP and AF rocked in the 7-9 they are 10. The NEW grace period probably didn't affect them but it was totally not fair to change it from 60 days to 90 days at registration. The paperwork says 60 days and this put a child in my child's group that did not in any way belong there. I want to know who she changed it for. Does anyone know?

According to Patsy's LKP turned 10 on March 9th and AF will be 10 on June 19. So one did fall back and the other is almost 10. The rest of the girls in the group were all 8...FACT! This group was WOW and IMO all the supreme titles should have come from here!

Looks to me like someone used the list to clear up confusion between 2 people who didn't have a clue. I don't see where anyone used the list to bash. The list clearly shows that both girls were in their right group and I don't see anything saying otherwise. Even though one of them IS already 10, no one said she was in the wrong group because she wasn't.

In the post saying the birthdates in Patsy's it says they were in the right group from what I see, and it written right there that the group they were in was awesome and all the grands should have come from it. Just to clear up some confusion, I was not saying that AF and LKP were in the wrong group, I just mentioned that they were 10 and the rest of the group was only 8. My child is not in this group and I was not saying anyone in this group didn't belong there, I was saying my child's group(not going to say which one) had one that didn't belong because of such a huge age difference that was not anyones fault but the directors because she changed the rules and didn't bother to tell us all and we just found out by accident after the pageant started.

Of course OL outdid everyone, she was supposed to be in the 3 year group but instead she was in 19-35. Same with CF. It just isn't right. You can't just change all your rules at registration so she had to have done it by request or to pacify someone.

It was not fair to the 2 kids that just won big a couple of weeks ago to be judged by BOTH parents of a child that was in their group and got beat by them (not undeservingly) and even though one did win something, she deserved better, and the other one got nothing. If I were them I would have demanded different judges, or my money back. You can't charge $500 for a pageant and get local judges that know everyone personally.

The mom of the one that won something made her feelings about the judges known to the director and that is why she got something, even though not what she deserved. That was a shut up and don't cause trouble title because she should have had the 5 and up supreme. As soon as the pageant was over, the man judge stood up and yelled out that he was not unfair to her daughter even though she had beat his child last week, so the director must have said something to him which is wrong. He is a hair and makeup person and he even judged several of his clients yesterday which is just another way he cheated. He even complimented several girls and was talking to them before competition started, these were probably his clients.

That is a BAAAAD situation! I would certainly hate to think my kid was being judged next weekend by both parents of the kid my daughter beat this weekend. I would just leave.lol

1. 60 day grace on paperwork and when she decided to change it she only told a few people.
2.Paperwork states total scores from beauty, WW or SW (highest used) and photogenic (no photo scores)
3.Enter by Feb.1st. save $ 150.00 ( then lets everybody enter for low price)
4. Judges not qualified national pageant, had COI-were judging kids their daughter had just been beaten by the week before at the same hotel and one of the other judges has a kid that competes and knows most of the kids.
5. 4 judges and your lowest score was to be dropped using the highest three, not done.
6.Prizes listed were not given away.
7.Photogenic was decided not to be judged but only choose a winner and give them an extra point for supreme during the lunch break after the pageant had started.
8.Lied about who was in the groups. Said certain people were not coming and that she had not heard from them, knowing she had already gotten their money and had their photos in the program book.
9.Paperwork has 2 different money amounts listed for winners, but says right on the front that it will not be prorated, then did.

I would like just to make a clarification regarding information contained in the #4 complaint at DD this past weekend. I have never participated in any conversations on these boards before but I am the judge that was reported as having a child that "competes and knows most of the kids that were there." Actually my daughter has not competed on any level in slightly over 2 years and I can honestly say that I was unfamiliar with all but two children and I don't even know those kids well enough to speak to them or their parents. I believe they used to have the same coach as my daughter is the reason I remember their names. I would like to praise all the children that participated and go on record as saying that I was terribly impressed with the level of competition that I saw in each group represented and cannot remember a single child that did not have the skills to be highly successful on any given day. Some may have been a little more polished or been "on" more that day but they all did a great job. I was sorry to read of all the other problems that had occurred of which I was unaware. I can say that we were not led by Charlotte to any particular children in any way, other than to say that there would be a high level of competition that day and to
take great care to give each child our undivided attention. I think this instruction goes without saying since anything less is rude and destroys a childs confidence. Nothing could be harder than performing for judges that clearly are not interested in what you are doing. With that said I will admit not initialing changes to my scoresheets(I think I had about 4 minor changes to mine). I apologize for this oversight (which I will never make again, by the way) but I was more worried about writing while the next child was entering the stage that I passed my sheets to the tabulator without thinking. Finally I would like to say that on the subject of LKP I think she did a fabulous job-beginning to end-and if my memory serves me correctly I scored her accordingly. There were numerous kids that stand out in my mind even now. I cannot count the number of times Saturday that I was so WOWWED by the SW and WW performances from 19-35 all the way to 16-Up that I just wanted to applaud these girls right there at the judges table. Finally, it was MY great honor and priviledge not just to judge, but to watch the pride, excitement and effort with which your daughters competed on Saturday and to say that I was personally very proud of them all. I believe the judge they were referring to in #4, has a daughter that just competed at TDS a few wks ago, and competed in the same group as several of the girls at DD. Is that you? Last name starts w/ a B.

The reason I thought they were talking about me was because it refers to the couple with the child that competed then it says the other judge has a child that competes and knows most the kids. But I just wanted everyone to know that it mine was not a competitor anymore. I love seeing these kids and want parents to know that I try my best to be fair. Thanks, I appreciate that. I may have misunderstood what was written, I thought they were referring to both the couple whose child competed at TDS and me because they thought (from my Bio maybe) that mine was still a competitor. As long as everyone knows the truth I feel better. Have a nice day.
