Because you fear eternal hell or because you know your father in heaven knows what's best for you?

Do you refrain out of fear or love?

Do you refrain because those sins cause very real consequences not necessarily put off until the hereafter?

What about putting all our consequences and judgment only somewhere out in the next life? Do you ever warn people about the consequences of sin right now and the hell they can create for themselves today? Or are they always pointed towards a future by and by where they may or may not believe? Remember WOG people who have no spiritual enlightenment at all- rest assured- have little fear of ANY KIND OF HELL. Because they deny sin itself, much less admit to any consequences it brings. So in truth people who turn to God out of a fear of hell, are only taking for granted what others have told them. They don't know hell to be a spiritual reality from God for themselves.

And that is all Dennis is asking you- to ask God. I don't know, maybe if you had children it would be easier for you to understand the unconditional love a parent has for his/her child. No matter what a child does a parent never stops loving them. Are we greater than God? Perfect love casts out fear. That is the witness we should be spreading. Our motivation towards a relationship with God is not hindered by thinking Him to be all-inclusive, it's hindered by thinking we can't come just as we are-warts and all. While we were yet sinners.........Christ.
