Will keep that caravan park in mind... We did another "Short Cut" up in northern New South Wales, had just past Coffs Harbour and noticed a "road" on the map back then going over the mountains through to Armadale, big mistake, had the Falcon six cylinder and a 17 foot van on the back and half way up the mountain the car was struggling to pull the van, I thought it was going to cut out and we would go sliding down the narrow road to hell knows where, there was no room to turn back with the van on, it just made it to the top and it was dirt track again for about 200 klms, half way there I saw only one car and as it came toward us about 100 mtrs ahead it disappeared in a cloud of dust over the edge, I stopped and could see the car on it's roof and I jumped down to see if the occupants were all right and there was 4 guys in the car with guns all ok, said they were fine, so I got back in my car and took off as they looked a bit suspicious to me, when you think of what Ivan Malat did when he killed hell knows so many backpackers in the state forest, I was not going to ask them what they were doing, if they were hunting out there or what with the guns, that was the only car or people we had seen on that track, and I was not taking the chance that they would come up and take our car and van as there unit was ratshit...so I put the foot to the floor and disappeared in a cloud of dust..
