ANYONE OF THESE GUYS WILL WIN MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2006!

TOP: LEBANON, VENEZUELA, USA
BOTTOM: SRI LANKA, SOUTH AFRICA, NAMIBIA
MY PREDICTIONS:
MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2006: USA (Unique looks, great body, cool personality as reflected in his videoclip)
1st Runner-Up: VENEZUELA (handsome face, polished, but there's no videoclip so I can't say much about his personality)
2nd Runner-Up: SOUTH AFRICA (another handsome face, warm personality, modelish)

- Having watch the video clips,,this is by far the worst group of guys I have seen represent a male pageant. The only hope for this contest is if Puerto Rico shows up with their usual stunning contestant and save the contest (NT) -- Kyle Hosier, Sunday, October 01, 03:27:00pm
- Well said and honest comments. (NT) -- luke, Sunday, October 01, 07:26:43pm
- LuLu -It's not too late for YOU to enter THE PAGEANT,since you seem to know alot about it..Oh and by the way,the name is Kyle, not "Sweetie". Thank you for your "dearing" comments. (NT) -- Kyle Hosier, Sunday, October 01, 09:50:05pm
- Germany and Malaysia's videos are up, but they're both boring! Mexico's video shows him just doing the runway back and forth. So dumb! So far, my faves are Lebanon, South Africa, USA, Venezuela and Latvia. (NT) -- Periwinkle, Monday, October 02, 03:40:55pm
- You definitely picked the best six! Namibia looks like he had some plastic surgery. He's so much prettier now. (NT) -- lo, Wednesday, October 04, 07:18:37pm
- There are only 19 boys in the Mr International contest... UK, Gibraltar and Puerto Rico is not in the running. I wonder why they keep those spaces there in the website. Singapore is still the best package - He should win really. Venezuela has nice face but not his body. Indonesia has a nice body but not his face. USA is skinny like Latvia also. I wish the organizers could have better quality boys that would make the contest really international. (NT) -- Singapore fan, Thursday, October 05, 05:16:36am
- I don't find Singapore very good looking and it sends a bad message having the home country boy winning the inaugural pageant. Five or so of the contestants, that's more than one-fourth of the group, have the absolute worst bodies I have ever seen in any male pageant. I guess you have to start somewhere but they got some ways to go before they can even think of surpassing Manhunt International. On the upside, I had a look at some of the Manhunt Australia contestants and all I can say is WOW. Click inside for a picture of one. -- fan, Thursday, October 05, 11:15:35am
- Mister International has already SURPASSED Manhunt International in terms of prize package, venue, hotel accomodations and schedule of activities alone! Besides, Manhunt International does not have any charitable cause, whereas Mister International has (cancer-stricken children). (NT) -- Gerry, Thursday, October 05, 01:05:21pm
- That's terrific for them but they're still not up to snuff with contestant numbers and quality. There's always next year to gauge improvement. (NT) -- fan, Thursday, October 05, 05:56:07pm
- You forgot to add that Mr International is better Mr World and also all the male pageants in the World. So much so that less the 40 people attended the presentation show last night and if only all the internet readers here could see the stage that was put up. They will think twice about what you said. I have not seen such a poor set of contestants in an "International Pageant" it really lives up to the name. it has surpassed Manhunt International and Mr World contests from the bottom of the scale. Giving out trophies that are worth $10,000 to $2,000??? One wonders what Singapore trophies are made off. But then again the prizes are in Singapore dollars and not US$. and the ticket to show is only S$25.00 for presentation show and S$35.00 for the finals. So CHEAP! for an International contest. One actually wonders. (NT) -- fan, Thursday, October 05, 07:42:05pm
- Do you have any photos that show the stage or the audience? Have you actualy organizd a pageant yourself? Because if you havent, then you're not in a position to criticize! Try walking in someone else's shoe for a mile, then you can say whatever you want. You're forgetting that every major pageant that exists today started out as a small pageant with small number of contestants. You seem to be good in saying negative things, but bad in mentioning the positve things that may come out of the pageant such as new frienshps, national pride, networking, exposure, etc. Mr. World? It hasn't been held since 2003? ONE WONDERS WHY. Everyone knows that Manhunt is owned by an aging sexual pervert, but ONE WONDERS WHY countries continue to send contestants to this pageant. And finally, ONE WONDERS that perhaps you used to be a former pageant contestant who never got anywhere and therefore is bitter about Mister International! (NT) -- Get a life, dude., Thursday, October 05, 09:20:52pm
- Just want to make clear that the poster you're responding to is not me, who has been using the "fan" handle lately and in this thread. I don't care about the stage, audience, ticket prices or the trophies. I also don't care about charitable causes as I don't follow pageants for that. You won't find me putting in good words for Mr World very often when they can't even post photos of their contestants or have a pageant every year. Like I had said, we'll see in the years to come if quality contestants end up going to Mister International. I am, however, perplexed why you're quick to brand people as 'perverts'. You said so yourself, why would 50+ countries send contestants to a pageant run by a pervert when Mr. International can't attract half that number? (NT) -- fan - will change handle from the next post onward, Thursday, October 05, 09:35:11pm
- Mister International vs ManHunt -- ManHunt Fan, Sunday, November 19, 09:13:35pm

Silliman University in Dumaguete City, the first American school in this South Asian archipelago, is home to the oldest campus beauty pageant. Like part of the legacy from the Big Apple, the Miss Silliman Beauty Pageant was established in 1946 by the American mentors, older than the two major international pageant, Miss World which was founded in 1951 in the United Kingdom and the Miss Universe founded by California clothing company Pacific Mills as an avenue to promote their Catalina swimwear in 1952. It is possible that the Miss America, the world’s oldest still-running beauty pageant that started in 1921 as a beach affair, had actually inspired our very own campus-by-the-sea glory. Talks about the possible dissolution of the Miss Silliman beauty pageant will never die, and the oppositors will always argue the irony of celebrating the beauty of the woman’s physique, and sense of dignity of the Christian academia.
Here’s another first from SILLIMAN:

When Naoki Mayuzumi, the president of HI-SAW or the Higala International : Students from Around World, expressed that the first thing he would do as leader of the foreign students organization of Silliman University was to raise funds for the Korean student Samuel Kim who had a vehicular accident and was hospitalized with neuro-surgery involved. He had a cultural-show-for-a-cause in mind as the way to achieve the goal. To ensure patronage and a good audience share, I suggested that HI-SAW would repackage the annual ICE (International Cultural Exchange) using a beauty pageant format, for the Philippines is a pageant-crazy country. Naoki right away made the first steps towards mounting the First Mister and Miss Silliman International. Many campus mentors tried to question the HI-SAW project but it went on with a creative force composed of Kenjie ColaC2 from Saipan and Chantal Theil of Germany with the students from Davao completing the working team, Nonito Cuizon as choreographer and Raissa Matunog as script writer. As expected in its first mounting, the show wasn’t perfect but it gave dimensions in pageant possibilities. One thing that made it unique were the talents: Mr. Iran Tedrik Norouzi showed his expertise in Persian cooking, Miss Indonesia Precy Cua who was chosen Best in Talent performed her own Bahasa translation of Bryan Adam’s Heaven, Mr. Nigeria Japheth Chinedu Anyaji showed his MVP glory in soccer, Mr. Japan Yoji Kusumi displayed the art of Japanese calligraphy, Miss Korea Joo-Young Park performed a folk song using a bamboo flute, Mr. Jordan Muneer Ali Adel AbuRumman shared a poem in his language, the talent awardee for men Mr. Indonesia Bryan Wagey had fun on stage with his trumpet, Miss USA Treana Marie Havranek had a touching musical number of joy and hope overshadowing images of the 9/11 tragedy and there were a lot more. The 15th of September pageant was a memorable first in our University Town.

Let’s be honest some of us dream of a Mister USA pageant, well this is the closest thing I have found to one: Cosmo’s Bachelor Blowout; 50 Bachelors from all 50 states (sorry no DC). They did it in 2005 and I posted it on the board. There doing it in 2006 and I’m posting it again. Let me just say a Mister USA contest would probably kill me, LOL, died and gone to heaven. Great bodies obviously, but some of their profiles are cute and dare I say sexy.

Connection & Relevance to USA pageantry:
-Twins Derek & Drew Riker took the pictures of the 50 guys for a 2nd year in a row and Derek Riker is married to Miss Illinois USA 2001 Rebecca Ambrosi.
-Derek & Drew were on the Amazing Race 3, and 3 former USA/TUSA girls were in Amazing Race 5: Christie Lee Woods, Nicole O’Brian & Erika Shay.
Anyway my fave guys are: New Hampshire, Delaware, North Dakota, Connecticut, Louisiana, Kentucky, Texas, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Iowa & Montana

Happened to drop by the website of Mister International (the 'illegal' Singaporean one), and they've added some photos of the 25 contestants who are scheduled to compete for the title in about 3 weeks.
Click here to view 17 of the 25 contestants.
Who are your early favorites? My first choice to win:

Panama!
(Interesting that Namibia is on the list of countries. I don't think I have ever seen that country participate in a men's pageant before.)

- What do you mean "illegal Singaporean one"? It seems that you're one bitter pageant fan, or some ex-contestant who failed to win a title! (NT) -- Aunty Yvonne, Sunday, September 17, 08:04:04pm
