Meanwhile, Pacific is hunting for a new coach and has a strong interest in Cori Close, UCSB's top assistant. Close was interviewed for the Fresno State job that went to Louisiana Tech assistant Stacy Johnson last week.

I'm glad to see that it looks as though Coach Thomason will be staying put! Keep those fingers crossed until Jay Johns is wearing a Beaver hat at the press conference.
