Subject: Daughter danced first solo oireachtas at 11 did not recall. Went on to be a world qualifier, podium placements and eventually won the oireachtas. She worked hard because she loved it and something clicked for her in her teens

  • Help your dancer be patient and not compare to others, only to themselves. Set her own goals - both reasonable and outlandish - and keep going. (Your dancer didn't start late.
