Tired of American bashing their own wonderful country, especially since so many risk everything to go there. Maybe they need to see that the freedoms they enjoy are not freedoms anywhere else in the world.

To the OP - agree wholeheartedly with you.
So many of our friends traveled with an empty suitcase in order to go shopping while over, or they plan to purchase a second one, even paying the fee for an extra case is manageable with all the clothes, etc. they will be bringing back at bargain prices compared to Ireland and UK prices for the very same things.
