She was just starting to think that she had been forgotten when she heard his familiar voice calling out her name, then she sat up a little straighter and looked around to find where he was. A bright grin lit her lightly made-up features as she dashed from her seat - saying a quick 'see you later' to Zeke and his friend, leaving her beer forgotten nestled in the sand - and towards him where she launched herself into his arms, thinking momentarily that she was glad she was so petite and he was such a giant. It was amazing how much they had both changed in the past almost-year, but she had always believed there was more to him than the stories suggested - though on a few occasions she had taken back that thought and been completely sure that in fact, he was everything the stories said he was - and he had always made her want to be a different sort of person. She'd had a couple drinks already and although far from intoxicated, she was definitely a little warm and fuzzy - just enough so that her greeting was may a little more exuberant than the typically too-cool-for-school girl would have indulged in, but the simple fact was that she was truly ecstatic to see him again. She was sick of having time constraints on getting to hang around with him, and especially with him having his own place now and being done with school and everything, she hoped it would be a lot easier this time around...
