The point I was making, and that Stu agreed with, was that we as human beings assign different moral values to actions that are the same. This has nothing to do with Nationalism, nor does it have anything to do with anything you just said! The fact remains. It is we ourselves who give all actions meaning.

An example:

The philosophy of the age of enlightenment espoused that there was an order to the world and that by using reason, man might learn truth and bring himself into harmony with this truthful order and so organize himself and his societies accordingly. The fundamental mistake of this theory is that the order man believes in is no more than the order which he himself has projected onto the world already. Therefore, to get in harmony with this order and come to truth, man must understand himself and the reasons he projected this supposed order onto the world in the first place!
