That's PETA. PITA stands for something else. It may be applicable, but that's another story. :-)

Really, I do know that, but screwed up - as an excuse, I am typing with a sprained left wrist and two bones cracked in my left hand. I don't know whether to blame it on typing with one hand or on being loaded with pain meds. LOL.

Look at the acronyms pretty much the same....
PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals
PITA = Pain In The A**

The individuals subscribing to the "People Eating Tasty Animals" ideology have more sense (at least in that reguard) than the some of those belonging to organization that has the initials PETA.

This story has put Busted Axle Road back on my (re)reading list.

That's a good book to reread. Don't forget to keep on reading Redeye, it's a great story also.
