Living near Liverpool UK (53 north) I know that days get short this time of the year but several years ago I spent Christmas on the isle of Yell in the UK Shetland Isles at nearly 60 north. The Days were unbelieviably short with just over 2 hours real daylight.
Of corse a few years later I was in Kirkwell Sheland Islse for june 21st and it was almost light enough to read a paper at midnight.
I have also been in the south of France in August and supprised how short the summer days were.
We sometimes forget just how much a few degrees north or south make a diferance
