A few years ago, working the Oceana NAS airshow, I made a dogtag for a lady whose last name was Kretschmer. I stopped, looked up, and asked if she was related to "Silent Otto"... turned out her husband was his grandson. Very neat to talk to her. She was a bit shocked that a youngish person knew who Otto was.. She probably should have expected that a Warbird crewmember would know at least *some* WW2 history. :)
