I guess I remembered wrong. I thought when they delivered that sailboat (now sailing to Ireland??) to the Cleveland area(I am originally from Euclid) that they went under the MAC. Not later in taking the boat to Florida.

When I read the first chapter of Winchester Harbor I giggled a little.

There is a fuel dock at Salmon Harbor Marina which is located in Salmon Harbor (duh!) in Winchester Bay... one of the better recreational harbors along the Oregon coast.
There are folks that call it Winchester Harbor... You can find it on a map by looking for the town of Reedsport along highway 101 and the Umpqua River, then go downriver towards Oregon Dunes and the Pacific ocean.

Back around 1988 or so in late spring I was a passenger on board a power cruiser that was owned by an acquaintance. He pulled in to the Salmon Harbor Marina for fuel and lunch... I helped with the fuel hose... and if my memory serves me right, the guy that ran the hose had a blue uniform shirt with a embroidered name tag that read Jake.

Anyway, I kinda giggled when I read Winchester Harbor... but I'm pretty sure that Wes hasn't been to the Oregon Coast.
