I just posted the first chapter of Bullring Days Three: Banners Flying. There are 36 chapters.

Sales on Lulu for hardcovers, epubs, and PDFs have also been enabled. RTF files, mobis, epubs, and PDFs are also available from the Spearfish Lake Tales Store.

Preorders have been shipped. Very often when I put up a new story there are html bugs that don't show up when I tested it locally. However, my computer at home is still on the fritz -- the guy who is supposed to be fixing it has the flu -- so I won't be able to do fixes until tomorrow morning.

Also, usually when I put a new book up I stay up late in case someone wants to order a copy. Not this time, due to computer issues again and weather. However, if you want to order a copy of Bullring Days Three: Banners Flying in one of the available formats, I'll be able to ship it first thing in the morning.

Did I miss something other than the Reagan comment for nailing this down to something closer than 1981-1989?

It'll get pinned down tightly later in the book.

Now that's an interesting cross-over, even for someone like me who has never been to a motor race. I do remember as a child lying in bed and hearing the noise from Wimbledon Stadium about 1.5 miles away. They used to race cars, motorbikes and greyhounds there, although I doubt if I ever heard the greyhounds.

Following some google links I found a video of this crowd-pleaser, although not at Wimbledon, caravan (travel trailer in America) racing! http://youtu.be/9_axIytjoJU

Cool! You have to see it in a figure-8 race. It's even messier.

I didn't even know they did oval tracks in England (even though it's the wrong way around.) Fun! Thanks!

In the latest chapter, #14, is the racer Bubba Winslow the Nascar racer who will later be sponsored by Jenny Easton?

Chapter 21 is great. First appearance of Bradford HS Class of 88. Loved the crossover. Shae is a 6'4" 8th grader already wearing high heels and Emily's first date with Kevin. And probably the beginning of her 18 year job at the Spee-D-Mart.

I was just going to post the same thing. Not only do we get a Bradford Exiles crossover appearance, but Emily's first date with Kevin. The best, though, is the description of the track from Emily's point of view. Great stuff!

It's amazing that Wes has been keeping track of everybody without the Wiki.

Scott Tyler's mother is Barb Tyler, someone very welcoming and helpful to Sonia when she was being a draft dodger.

And by implication, Scott was in the band in 8th grade. I think that's new information!

In Chapters 22 and 23, we hear about Gary Apling and what Emily thinks about him (very unfavorable). He was previously mentioned in The Girl in the Mirror as one of the bullies who picked on Denis Riley and Steve Sharp. He was kicked out of school for smoking marijuana and sent to the county youth detention center. He wasn't a good driver in 1984.
