Now that we are almost to the end I think it would have made a pretty good short story. But the middle has the same conversation going over and over with nothing actually happening. After reading the first few Canyon stories, I'm afraid reading about rafting down the canyon several more times doesn't hold my interest any more.

Actually, of all the stories on the site, "Susan" is the one I enjoyed the least. Susan (the charecter) is a bit of a know-it-all snotty snob, and I found it hard to generate any empathy for her.

The story, as a story, is pretty good- but it wasn't my favorite.

All that said, I'm very glad Wes puts these stories up freely for our entertainment. "De gustibus no est disputandum" - can't please everyone all the time.
