The smirk was dashing, a charmer this guy, not that she minded. ”I’ll just have to keep my eye on him.” Southern drawl slipping past smirking lips as Sam watched the man scoop up the pup and cradle him like a parent would a babe. It took a second for Sam to move into motion, tossing her bag on the back seat of the jeep and sliding Betsy under the back seat as well, she shut the door, and locked it. Boots scuffled on the gravel parking lot as Sam reached the club door and ducked back in under the handsome man’s arm.
She followed behind him as he moved back to the same table, another beer already at the table as if the bartender had known he’d be back. Quaint place, though she hoped there wasn’t anyone present that’d rat her out. It seemed cowboy wasn’t tuned in to what she truly was and if she were lucky she’d be able to keep it so. ”I’ll have what he’s havin’” statement given the barkeep before she too flopped down in the chair across from him, making sure to give him one for his feet if he needed it, but also close enough to give conversation. ”So what has you in a place like this?” Opening question given as her drink was delivered and the top popped off.
