Most of the time I don't know I'm missing something. Like Mantle. I didn't think to ask what the name meant as I didn't see it as something with meaning. I just thought he used it coz it started with M. Dumb huh? I should have asked about the Tacobell thing and the jiffy poppers too but never thought to. Isn't that strange? Why I didn't ask. We never had those jiffy poppers here ever that I know of. We just used to buy the packets of corn and heat them in a saucepan and mostly burn the bottom ones. Now we get the micro packets.

As for asking about stuff, most of the time I dont realise the reference is there to ask. Does that make sense. It was only on Raymond with the Mantle thing that I realised it had a meaning. On XF there must be hundreds of things that just go over my head and I don't realise there is a reference to something. I watched hundreds of eps these holidays especially while ironing. Perhaps I should rewatch and write everything down that doesn't make sense and send you a list lol. But I don't think I'd find many as I wouldn't identify them like you do. I'll make sure to ask if it happens again in other shows but I feel that XF had more references than many because of the quipping and banter that Mulder and Scully went on with. Sharp dialogue.

I watched the Pilot yesterday. They were soooo young. And Mulder was the cutest smart-arse that I've ever layed eyes on. As they stood there with the cross on the road I just couldn't help thinking that in 7 yrs time they'd be standing at that cross as impending parents. lol. Then straight after that I watched Requiem. I can't help smiling. I'm so glad that after 7 yrs they got the same people to be in the ep. Teresa, sherif and Billy. I will really really miss that show.
