OK, I had previously pointed out major disappointments with the mytharc events since season 6. I felt poor choices were made and somethings were left unresolved and would never be brought up again. Tonight might be a good sign that the finale will bring together all kinds of elements from throughout the show's history. Or it might just be more BS from CC to vague out the ending.

Well, gee, is that Mulder? We've only seen a perfectly healthy Mulder in the previews for the finale. Once again, Scully gets hoodwinked with the baby. I think at this point (or maybe 4 years ago) I'd be suspicious of everyone I meet and would have gun at the ready and aimed at anyone in my house I wasn't 100% sure of. I assume that wasn't the same actor who played Spender before, was it? I always noted, why wasn't there any mention of him after One Son? Was he dead? I thought a return was possible but after so long it seemed all had forgotten him.

So this opened up a whole can of worms that one wonders if it will be covered again or was just there to throw us off. Very causally they declare Spender and Mulder half brothers which means for sure CSM is Mulder's real father. That was a plotline from years ago and its revived and swiped away in a flash. Does this open the way for a CSM return? Having killed off all of Mulder's family, we'll not see the repercussions of this revelation. Will Mulder want to connect with his half brother, yucky as he is now?

And Spender looks at Samantha's file! The worst ended plotline revived? I don't think Samantha has been mentioned for years now and there were rumors of "re-doing" her story. Why should he look at her file except perhaps to convince them he was Mulder. I know we all have a theory as to Sam's true ID being MR. Another upcoming finale revelation or just a little nonesense thats fooled me?

The ep was OK, the suspense wasn't there. Those Hollywood exteriors are awful! Having to make do with what they could find in Vancouver looked much more realistic.

Another baby in danger ep and another doctor telling Scully her baby is totally normal and fine. So the big messiah baby that is so important to a huge plan is taken out by a little injection. Another CC anti-climax. And now we have Scully give him away.

So all the dreams of a M/S/W family are dashed. I can't imagine Scully having the heart to tear Will away from the nice couple (unless they turn out to be part of the conspiracy). Makes me think Mulder will return and resume the noromo stance for the finale and the movies. I think we're too far gone to not have them be romantic.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think CC is still in "they aren't together"/tease mode.

The Gunmen are out, Willaim is out, now on to D/R and Skinner and all those pesky loose ends are done and no extra actors to pay for return appearences in movies. Just need DD/GA, thats all. Who wants to pay MP or RP or AG or anyone to appear in a cameo. It 'd be like how they have to pay Chekov and Sulu to be in every Trek movie when they'll only have 2 lines apiece and demand more money each time.

Getting worried here. And next week we solve a plotline that doesn't matter so much to be in the Endgame. Should have had this one eariler this season.
