Is what I think just happened really what happened?!?!?!?

I was with the ep up until the end. It had the feel of a murder mystery, where the bad guy (Jeffrey Spender) is revealed at the end as Sherlock Holmes/Miss Marple/Ellery Queen (Scully) lays out what happened and everyone else stands around in shock and surprise. Whew - that was a long sentence.

But to suggest that Scully would EVER give up William is going too far. I mean, I thought CC & Co. went too far last week, but this takes the cake. Sure, she might disappear with him, or send him off with her mother for awhile, but to hand him over to strangers? Or did I miss something? Really - did I miss something? Please tell me I missed something. Besides, I have two words for you:

Paper Trail.

As if William couldn't be tracked! Please.

My favorite part of the ep, though, was at the end. William was wearing jammies with rocket ships. Hehehe. Cute.
