As Zhu Lin (she still doesn’t know you’re name, but I’m sick of using ‘she’, ‘mare’, ‘female’ or ‘other’) slings towards escape, the golden mare lowers with a smile. Her eyes capture the other’s movement, determined to maintain the upper hand. The other swings, her motion covering Isis’s right side.

Yet she breaks her eye contact. Performing an slick aboutface, Isis has neither view of the mare or the stallion (who, I figured out with rereading the posts and some calculations [hehe, all because I was working on my math before I switched to this] is behind or Zhu Lin now). Her breath is held, as her ears radar her opponent’s location.

Quicken movement alerts her instantly, and her back legs kick upwards in a strong buck. Had the timing been accurate and the charge blocked?

(OOC: Forgive my delay. I’ve been on the phone with my mom, who lives at the beach [the last time her road flooded and almost her house-she’s a couple feet off the ground-was during El Nino], trying to convince her to stay tonight and tomorrow. It didn’t work that well. She’s calling me in the morning. Because of Hurricane Isabella, our overreacting governor has placed the entire state of Delaware under a state of emergency starting seven AM and lasting until sometime Friday. *looks around, currently about 10 miles inland* Please also pardon any further delays that might occur due to this supposed disastrous storm, my very stubborn mother, or if my phone bill payment isn’t received soon enough and they *shudders* disconnect me.)
