\Bright gray occules caught the vision of the bay mare struggling in battle with the evil. At the sound of the Light's squeal, the massive Percheron swung into action. Enormous ebony flints thundered across the pristine sands of the beach, driving him ever closer to the scuffle. With speed belying his size, the heavily muscled stallion snaked around the flying hooves and positioned his backside close to the evil mare's backside. Sharp, obsidian flints flew out, aiming for the delicate joints of the shire's hind legs. If hit, the vulnerable tendons could be severed, bringing the mare to her knees. Whirling 90 degrees, he pressed his barrel broadside against the shire's hind end. His positioning would effectively squash most chances of the evil mare bucking out, but even if she did, his close proximity could prevent her from striking with as much force as intended. Pearly white incisors bared momentarily before the black stud dropped his head, snapping viciously at the shire's unprotected haunches. The Percheron stud stood immobile after his attacks, waiting with almost a bemused expression to see the shire's reaction. The Light mare and himself had neatly boxed in the evil shire, and any wrigglings on the shire's part would be amusing./
