Her lip immediately thrust out into a pout and began to tremble as tears welled in her gorgeous gray eyes. Ears and tail drooping, she hung her head listlessly. A friend? But she didn't want a friend! She only wanted Castaway. Sparing a baleful glance at the undeserving Hex, she sidled close to the aging stallion, her muzzle pressed against his shoulder as if she were begging for forgiveness and affection.
