The proud mother chuckled softly, her daughter had learned quite a lot indeed. Her amber gaze shifted to her mate, her mind preserving this image of him for all time.

The filly grinned, her daddy was really smart after all. *I did learn 'lot Daddy! I can ta'k now! An' I made a fwend, her name is Ha'mony. An' my tail did gwow!* She waggled her tail to demonstrate, the creamy strands interlaced with that distinctive black stripe. She was right, it had indeed lengthened, evidence of her growth. Beaming, she turned to her father in anticipation of praise to come.
