Don't sell yourself short. When I first became a groupie I was quite surprised by the fact not all groupies are beauties. I've seen my fair share of ordinary girls. But it depends on the particular musicians. As well as the chemistry factor and circumstances.

Now as for how to set about, let me just say I haven't been active for years, but what I did consisted of finding out where the bands were staying, hanging around before and after gigs, hanging around the backstage access locales/tour buses, going to haunts where the musicians might be. You get the picture. You can't just expect the opportunity to always fall into your lap. Though sometimes it is by chance, being seen and sought out.

Finally, do your research also to maximize your chances, so to speak. The biggest prize I had liked intelligence and class. Physically I appealed to him but if I had come off as a dumb, eager skank it probably wouldn't have mattered.
