Oh please don't apologise. I just appreciate you taking the time to reply.

I understand what you're saying and I do agree that homosexuality has not got (and does not need) a cure. I'm really just thinking about temporary sexual acting out.

If you have a same-sex encounter just once, twice or ten times - does that automatically mean a person is gay? For sure and for life?

Trauma re-enactment is not coming from a place of logic or healthy exploration. It comes from a tangled, messed-up, distorted place of chaos. Homosexuality almost seems to be a different subject, in my mind. I may be wrong - I'm certainly no expert - but sexual choice and orientation, coming from a curious, adult (or early teen) perspective is a different thing. Of course - there can be, and often seems to be, confusion, trauma and denial attached to homosexual coming-out but this confusion comes from a different place with a different set of issues. Rape and sexual abuse will create its own set of trauma and confusions that may not represent a person's true character or sexuality and should not be confused with hiding one's true sexuality because of fears about society or family reactions.

Am I being too understanding?
