my ex made a play for my closest friend when we were separating. He didn't even like her, just did it to hurt me. Didn't care he was hurting her more than me.

I've been living alone for nearly three years now and it is easier it is also tough - you are facing up to all the pain you have on board you are alone and it's a PTSD situation on a social level. During the first year there were times I literally would start shaking at the thought of going out. Even if it was just to the shops. And I'd just curl up under the covers til I needed food! I'll still curl up under the covers when I feel the need to but I have slowly and steadily improved and enjoy being with people more.

Gay/straight marriages all over the place. Mostly the straight doesn't know. so sad - I empathise with them. Mainly they seem to cope with the toxicity of their relationships by action - they are always going somewhere. Quite honestly it doesn't look like much fun.

Movement is good tho - going swimming in the river last Summer helped me enormously. I do believe the simple action of walking, the alternation from one side to the other, helps my mind as well as body.
